Eric Snyder is a trumpet player, composer, arranger, and music teacher in Nashville, TN. Eric recently moved to Nashville to begin work on a master's degree in commercial music performance at Belmont University.
Eric moved from Cincinnati, OH where studied at Northern Kentucky University as a double major in music performance and music technology, studying trumpet with professor John Zappa.
While a student, Eric began working professionally as a trumpeter in the greater Cincinnati area. Some of the local musicians and ensembles most notably include The Blue Wisp Big Band led by the world renown drummer, John Von Ohlen, Ed Moss’ Society Jazz Orchestra, The Flying Circus Big Band led by the College Conservatory of Music’s Scott Belck and The Voyager Sextet led by NKU’s Jazz Studies director Brian Hogg. Eric was an arranger and the trumpeter for local bands including The Bel-Airs and Mickey James and The Queen City Crew. He also leads his own project, The Eric Snyder Trio, which features him on both the trumpet and piano.
